Hey guys,
Just a quick update tonight. Apparently our Astropath wasn’t working right today, and we didn’t make it to Attactix in time for the Feast of Blades. Now, let me give you some ideas on our trip:
- Left Gunnison, CO, at 9 PM Friday
- Hit an ice patch at 50 MPH on Monarch Pass about 9:30 PM Friday
We also managed to make some wrong turns and found out that Tzeentch designed roads in Denver. Hampton Avenue turns into…Hampton Avenue, which then turns into a parking lot, and circles around, and…yeah, you get the point. So we missed the Feast of Blades. From finally getting to the shop though, I don’t think we missed a lot. There were about 8 people playing, which consisted of 2 Dark Eldar, 1 Space Wolves, 1 Eldar, 1 Blood Angels, a Codex Marines, Deathwing, and a Tyranid army. A couple were painted alright, but it just didn’t seem like a good turn-out for a tournament that was supposed to show the best of Colorado.
Anyways, despite missing the tournament, I picked up some new things today for the Smells Like Wargaming Marines, as well as a project for my buddy.
The Blood Angels and the Scouts are for me, and the blister is an Ork Big Mek with Kustom Force Field.
Expect some Blood Angel lists to start off the force! I'm also hoping to get all the people who are doing some 40k stuff in Gunnison together next week, so I should have some pictures up too!
