Painting: Blood Angels Tacticals and Terminators; WoC Chaos Sorceror Thoughts

Hey guys,

So I’ve been playing around with the blog a little bit over the last couple of days. Some things are moved around, I’ve added more links, and everything’s just generally cleaned up. I’m hoping to put a Facebook page together after school starts (Thank you Photoshop), so keep an eye out for that link!

Anyways, commissions. I’m still trucking along on the Blood Angels Commission I’ve been working on. As I said, I’m hoping to have it done by Sunday, which is looking like a mostly completable goal. Still have to magnetize some Backpacks.

Spent a little extra time on Sergeant Helios and did a quick marbling effect on the shield. Its just layered up to Skull White, and the marble veins are Codex Grey applied with a detail brush.

Lightning Claw effect was a LOT easier than I expected to be.

Tactical Squad ‘Sanguine’

Really happy with how they’re going so far. The Tactical Squad all have the Red finished on them, so its just a matter of going in and detailing them; My favorite step!

Lastly, I had to pick up some paint from GW (CLGS is closed for 2 weeks…), so I decided to hit the free shipping mark with a fun model. I’ve really liked the WoC Chaos Sorceror released for Storm of Magic, so I decided to pick him up for:

A) A fun new addition to my Chaos Marines, and

B) A practice Painting project.

I’m hoping to spend a lot of time on this model, practicing techniques and perfecting my style. Stay tuned in the near future, I know he’ll be cool when he’s finished!

Alrighty, back to painting. Finished Tactical Squad shots tomorrow!

  1. Looks good.
Man, do you ever get a ton of red armies to paint.

You should do a new advertisement that says:

"Smells Like Wargamming - we do paint models other than red!"
