Hey everyone,
So as I stated yesterday, I’ve been playing around a little with the idea of making plastic Inquisitorial Henchmen. Now I’m going to break this down into at least two parts, just to keep from having an extremely huge blog post. Lets start off with what can go into an Inquisitorial Retinue:
- Arco-flagellant
- Banisher
- Crusader
- Daemonhost
- Death Cult Assassin
- Inquisitorial Servitor
- Jokaero Weaponsmith
- Mystic
- Psyker
- Warrior Acolyte
Lets work our way down, shall we?
Arco-Flagellant:
Current Models:
*shudders* I’d hate to have to assemble one of those, let alone two! This answer is simple:
The Empire Flagellant kit will work perfectly for this. In fact, I see this kit being used several times for Henchmen.
Banisher
Current Model:
….what? No model? Neato. The statline is of a Guard Sergeant with only 1 Attack. So why not use the Imperial Guard Sergeant?
Sergeant’s on the left there. If you want to arm him with an eviscerator, cut up two Chainswords and attach them! Easy peasy!
Crusader
Current Model:
Personally, I love that model. The Storm Shield and Power Weapon for the price of a Chaos Marine is amazing, I can’t see anyone not running at least two in the squad. Now for plastic ones….hmmmm….
Well we could use the Flagellants again…nah. Maybe some of the leftover Imperial Guardsmen…The biggest problem with doing these guys in plastic is the Storm Shield and Power Weapon. Those bitz are expensive, and only come together in Terminator boxes. Aha! Got it. What about using Scouts?
Power Weapons can be fairly easy to model using the Combat Blades, and the Storm Shield is, honestly, best done in Plasticard. An Inch tall by 1/4th Inch should work perfectly.
Alrighty, that’s part one for you! Tomorrow, I’ll have Part Two up, covering Daemonhosts, Death Cult Assassins, and Servitors!
Granesh
Banishers are essentially Priests. Any Imperial Priest/Preacher model would do but a Flaggelant with chainsword would do the job just fine.
ReplyDeleteVery true Antipope. I had a Priest model in mind, but couldn't figure out where he was on GW's site. Also, I'm trying to figure out how to do them in plastic, not pewter.
