12/2/12: Better Beholder Pictures!

Hey guys!

Had a long Saturday, playing 2 back to back games of Blood Bowl! Looking at 4th place going into the playoffs next weekend, we'll see if the Orcland Raiders can overcome the odds and take the Cup!

Anyways, got some better shots of the Beholder. Makes a pretty good turn marker for Blood Bowl! Im always a proponent for artists to mix things up a bit, it makes you a better artist in the long run!

Alrighty, we'll see how much painting gets done this week, we're looking at another long week as the semester winds down! Stay tuned!

11/30/12: Finished: Old School Beholder!

Hey guys!

Just showing off a little project I did for fun while at work to get that painting mojo up and running for the weekend. Wednesdays and Thursdays are usually dominated by RPGs, normally Dungeon Crawl Classics and DnD, and the shop has a big collection of older plastic, pewter, and lead miniatures.
Enter the artist looking for a fun project to play with. I found this Ral Partha beholder from 1988 sitting the box and decided he needed some paint!

Not the best shots, ill try to get a new one in a day or so. Anyways, opted for a red scheme complimented with greens and purples. Only about an hour or so to paint, and really let me play with the details on the skin and teeth.

Alrighty, back to work!
