Smells Like Wargaming after hours! Quick break from the Imperial Fists (you can see them in the background!), but I figured now was a great time to get the prize for my contest I ran for the Independent Characters podcast finished and ready to go!
The winner wanted the Ghazghkull to match his Deathskullz, so I’m going with a lot a blue. The Ultramarines markings really seem to break up the blue and draw the eye across the model.
The Orange is actually a paste-consistency mix of water and Orange Rust weathering powder from FW. It goes on a little thick and creates a look of rust and older metal. A little Chainmail on the edges of the armour give the chipped look and, again, breaks up the blue and large patches of metal.
I may have to do both a Weathering and a Waterslide Decal tutorial soon…hmmmm…
